Second, Rare wouldn't want to look too impressive by releasing an Adults Only 18+ game.Īnd third, it would hurt the already poor game sales even further (there may adult players that doesn't like to play Adults Only 18+ game). Partial Nudity (I don't know if there is (complete) Nudity)Īnd also, I don't know if there's some of Simulated GamblingĪnd second, the unprecedented efforts of Rare to ensure that the game doesn't fall under minors hands, the Adults Only 18+ would have make this task easier, first because the Adults Only 18+ games are not sealed to anyone under 18 years (and the box art says nearly the same thing), and second because when a game is rated Adults Only 18+, people know it's seriously (see how many 10 years old child play Call of Duty.).īut now, here is my theory of why the game isn't rated Adults Only 18+:įirst, Nintendo doesn't allow Adults Only 18+ games on their systems.
First, because of the content, the official description of the ESRB is Animated Violence, Mature Sexual Themes and Strong Language (and the Animated Violence descriptor has been already discarded by the ESRB, plus many of the Mature 17+ N64 games received this descriptor (probably because of the graphics)), but based on what I have seen (it wasn't much but I think it was enough), I would describe the game with the following: Well back to the theme, I have be thinking and I realise than that game maybe would fit the Adults Only 18+ rating. Well I know this may be obvious, but I was wanting to leave it clear ). Seriously, the content on that game is EXTREME IN IMPACT, and ABSOLUTELY NOBODY, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, UNDER 18 YEARS (OK, officially is 17 years, but it's pretty much the same thing), SHOULD EVEN SEE IT.
